[Vol 2] Business matching service at IOFT 2013


Being the best place for Japanese/Asian buyers and brands from all over the world to annually meet for business, the show attracts key professionals from the optical industry.



In order to aid the business between such professionals to run smoothly at the show, every year, IOFT arranges a “matching-service”.

Especially for those who have never conducted business in Japan or Asia, it may be hard to find the right people/connections to start selling your brand/buying. The service simply help introduce participants into the market through IOFT.



Today I will reveal some new information about this service so you can get an essence of the energy and excitement which is expected to fill the halls of IOFT 2013.




Exclusive Eyewear Boutiques and Top 100 mass retail stores in Japan

Japan’s top 100 mass retail stores and around 100 of Japan’s exclusive eyewear boutiques will also be invited to the show by IOFT. In order to boost the business to an even higher level, IOFT will arrange meetings between exhibitors and such buyers in advance. Multilingual staff will attend the booths with the buyers to help out the business negotiations. Exhibitors will also receive a guidebook from IOFT with the details of the stores and boutiques involved and additional information, comments regarding the store manager, what sort of brands they would want to meet during the show. This extra service will allow the two parties to efficiently get to know one another and discuss practical business within the limited time frame.






Asian Buyers (China, Taiwan, Korea)

Show Management will be inviting a group of top retailers, importers, wholesalers, distributors and other buyers to IOFT from China, Taiwan and Korea.
Currently the top 3 chain stores from Northern China and Taiwan, Wholesaler who deals with the top chain stores in china, powerful importers from Taiwan, powerful buyers from Korea have confirmed their attendance to the show. 


As always, IOFT will be the business hotspot to kick start the trend in the Asian region. 


The buyers will be escorted to the exhibitor booths by multilingual staff to support the business meetings between the two parties.
If you are unable to meet the buyers in the exhibition halls, as many of them are expected to attend the Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and the Reception Party, eager show participants may be able to be acquainted or make connections with these Asian industry representatives at these events.
